本身大學冇讀過IT, 但想入IT 大firm eg. SAP, Microsoft 做 BD, consultant or presale 既 position 會唔會好難?

Hi Christy! Good question ! 當然好啦,Technology Sales需要只會越嚟越大,不過好多時大行佢哋會叫做"Consultant",又未至於話少少tech都唔洗你識都比你入到。不過好多tech giant會俾fresh grad intakes有幾個禮拜嘅product knowledge and sales training,好鬼sophisticated。

其實對於無technical background嘅fresh grad嚟講,grad programme eg IBM / Accenture等已經算係accessible但又直接做到sales / pre-sales (基本上唔多pre-sales位);如果入唔到,轉折啲要去做啲IT Services類嘅GT,例如電訊類公司,因為都有solutions / cloud services arm,有數升到我見都有轉去tech giants做ales。

至於你睇到嘅SAP,又或者其他Eg LinkedIn、AWS,好似比較少請without exp嘅fresh grad,但我認識有Marketing人入過Salesforce。Microsoft上年開始基本上無做過intern都無得報Microsoft Aspire Experience,所以又要所謂嘅「相關經驗」。

當然,Big4嘅IT Advisory都可以係一個比較decent嘅entry pathway。做一個tech consultant都係一個半sales嘅職位,亦值得考慮考慮。

usually consultancies have strategic partnership with big software companies, which the former helps selling and implementing their solutions 

so you can imagine, consultancies could also be a sales channel for those software firms

If for some reason software sales is your end goal then you could try to
1. familiar yourself with the software, eg SAP Hana 
2. apply for technology specific positions in consultancies, usually as sth like SAP specialist
3. advance your career and break it to the software industry
