Is IBD your dream and are you sure you are going to thrive in that kind of environment? Or are you just in for the money/prestige?

In terms of overall package and path HSBC GT >>> audit, but if you are an outlier and really wanna get into IB, audit is going to be a better starting point. Quite a few mainlanders made the move from audit to ER and if you make the jump from audit to deals, it is going to be a relevant experience for IB/PE. 

Just my two cents though, I am not a banker/auditor🙇‍♂️
