I feel applying 2023 Grad program would be better since those 2022 program usually on board in July or Sepemtember 2022, you can consider doing some placement and defer to grad in June 2023. Or you can apply grad job for 2023 and do some part time or take a half year break. Or can consider joining Big 4 with they are the few companies which allow students to on board in Jan and can filly utilize your half year.
