如果你有audit firm experience, 可以多留意Big 4 嘅advisory/ consulting branch,睇下佢地offer 乜野種類嘅services

以KPMG為例, 你見到佢地有4個大subdivision:

1. Deal Advisory
2. Management Consulting
3. Risk Consulting
4. Strategy

I. 你可以先了解一下啲streams 做乜野, 再去其他division睇下有無乜野field 係有興趣

以你嘅profile 為例, GPA 唔係太好基本上可以rule out 好competitive 嘅strategy consulting, 再逐個stream compare 一下work nature

同時亦要consider當時嘅 market trends, e.g. 因為經濟唔係太好, M&A division 可能會少啲headcount, 但restructuring & Turnaround 可能又會多啲; IT 係大趨勢head count 又會多啲, 換句話講headcount 越多你入嘅機會越大

II. 再諗下有乜野skills 要acquire

1. Technical Knowledge: 上lecture, declare minor, online learning, reading, 識 i) 基本concepts, 舉到下例子就得 ii) Latest market trends/ industry trends (e.g. IT consulting: RPA, Blockchain etc.)
2. Consulting knowledge: 上網大把resources, 可以睇下Victor Cheng, Case Interview prep 之類嘅網站, 學consulting frameworks 同埋點樣crack 一個case interview, 因為consulting firm 好鐘意喺interview嘅時候叫candidates 即場crack 一啲比較complex 嘅business problems, 睇下你識唔識apply 一啲business concepts & breakdown complex problems

個人覺得consultant 嘅value added 就係佢地將一個complex question breakdown & structure 嘅能力

當自己嘅career 係一個consulting case/ project 咁crack 就得 :)
